Litters We Have Had In Recent Years (Most Recent At Top)

August 17, 2010  Thursday they have an appt with the Vet to dock tails and remove dew claws, puppies always look forward to that as you can see...  This picture was not posed, the puppies just decided this is a good way to sleep.  They do some strange things every now and then.  I have ordered a video camera so I can get some movie clips, watch for links to the clips coming soon, I hope.

Date Of Whelp:  August 16, 2010
Number & Sex Of Puppies:  5 Puppies (2 Male 3 Female)
Description Of Litter:  This is Dee Dee's second litter, the father of this litter is Eddy.  She again had 5 pups, two males and three females.  See if you can pick them out in the picture above, they are all there.  Because Eddy is mostly white, it appears that most of these pups will be White & Orange.  One may have enough Orange to be Orange & White.  One of the males is very small, pretty much a runt.  However he is eating and moving around with the best of them, he may well catch up with the others.  Watch for more pictures as they grow.

Number & Sex Of Puppies:  5 Puppies (1 Male 4 Female)
Description Of Litter:  Litter resulted from the mating of Dee Dee and Rusty.  Dee Dee is a fairly small Brittany and is a very active hunter.  She learns quickly and is my primary hunting companion.  Rusty was a fairly large dog by Brittany standards.  He was very even tempered, loved to hunt on his own and was great with kids.  Rusty is deceased due to a hunting accident and will produce no more litters.  Dee Dee will have another litter with Eddy in the spring of 2010.  One puppy from this litter was kept, Misty Mae, and will be used for breeding to Eddy also in about a year.
